What is a refillable vape?
A refillable vape is a rechargeable device with a pod that you fill yourself from a bottle of e-liquid. When the coil inside the pod wears out, you swap the pod and keep the device. A disposable vape is the opposite: it comes sealed and pre-filled, and you replace the whole device when it runs out.
Not every pod system is refillable. JUUL and SPRK, for example, use pre-filled pods that you cannot refill. The kits in the table below all take refillable pods.

Running costs: pods and e-liquid
With a refillable vape you buy two things again and again:
- Pods: Vaporesso XROS pods are AED 40 for a 4 pack, which is AED 10 a pod. OXVA Xlim top fill cartridges are AED 40 for a 3 pack, about AED 13.33 a pod. All replacement pods are in Pod Accessories.
- E-liquid: our salt nic e-liquids are AED 40 for 30ml, and a 30ml bottle fills a 2ml pod about 15 times.
How long a pod lasts depends on how much you vape and the e-liquid you use. Change it when the taste turns burnt or weak. Since 1 September 2026 vape liquids in the UAE are taxed on a minimum of AED 1 per ml, which is already included in the price of genuine e-liquid. See our UAE vape tax guide.

How to set up a refillable vape
- Charge the device fully with the USB-C cable before first use.
- Open the fill port on the pod and fill it with e-liquid up to the max line. Do not pour liquid down the centre air tube.
- Close the pod, push it into the device and wait a minute or two so the cotton in the coil soaks through. This stops a dry, burnt first puff.
- Start with short, gentle puffs. On kits with adjustable airflow, a tighter setting gives a draw closer to a cigarette.
- Refill before the liquid drops below the coil holes, and change the pod when the taste turns burnt or weak.
Keep e-liquid bottles closed, upright and away from heat, and out of reach of children and pets.

Pod kits work best with salt nic e-liquid. Very thick, high VG juices are made for bigger sub-ohm tanks and can flood small pods.
